The T-Mobile app won’t work on your iPhone and you don’t know what to do. You’ve opened app, tried logging in, but something’s not working right. In this article, I’ll explain what to do when your T-Mobile app is not working on your iPhone!
Close The T-Mobile App
Closing and reopening the T-Mobile app can potentially fix a minor software glitch that would prevent the app from working properly. To close the T-Mobile app, you’ll first have to open up the app switcher.
To open the app switcher on an iPhone X, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to the center of the screen. Hold your finger in the center of the display for a moment until a preview of all the apps you have open appears. If you have an iPhone 8 or earlier, double-press the Home button to open up the app switcher.
To close an app on your iPhone X, press and hold on an app preview until a red minus button appears in the upper left-hand corner of the preview. Then, use a finger to swipe the T-Mobile app up and off of the screen.
On an iPhone 8 or earlier, simply swipe the T-Mobile app up and off the screen to close out of it.
Turn Your iPhone Off And Back On
If closing and reopening the app didn’t fix the problem, try restarting your iPhone. It’s possible that a different app or your iPhone’s software has crashed, which could be fixed by a restart.
If you have an iPhone X, press and hold the side button and either volume button until the power icon and slide to power off appear on the display. On the iPhone 8 and earlier, press and hold the power button (also known as the Sleep / Wake button) instead of the side button and a volume button.
Swipe the red and white power icon from left to right to shut down your iPhone. Wait about 15 seconds, then press and hold the side button (iPhone X) or the power button (iPhone 8 and earlier) to turn your iPhone on again.
Update The T-Mobile App
If the T-Mobile app is out of date, it could be the reason why it’s not working on your iPhone. Go to the App Store and tab the Updates tab at the bottom of the screen.
If the T-Mobile app appears on the list of your pending apps, tap the UPDATE button to its right. Once you do, a small progress circle will appear to let you know how much longer it’ll take the app to finish updating.
Uninstall & Reinstall The T-Mobile App
If the T-Mobile app is not working after you’ve restarted your iPhone, there may be a deeper software problem with the app. The fastest way to troubleshoot a more significant software problem with the app is to delete and reinstall it.
To delete the T-Mobile app, press and hold the app icon until all of your apps begin to jiggle. Then, tap the small X that appears in the upper left-hand corner of the T-Mobile app icon. When the confirmation alert appears, tap Delete.
To begin reinstalling the app, open the App Store and search for the T-Mobile app. Once you’ve found it, tap the download button to the right of the app — it’ll look like an arrow pointing down out of a cloud. A status circle will appear to let you know how much longer it’ll be before the app reinstalls.
