According to Apple, the iPhones with the best battery life are the iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Both phones are designed to last for 12 hours of video streaming, 20 hours of video playback, and 80 hours of audio playback.
In the real world, we’d expect the iPhone 11 Pro Max to last longer. The iPhone 11 Pro Max has the largest battery capacity of any iPhone at 3,969 mAh. It’s designed to last for 30 hours of talk time. Apple didn’t provide a talk time battery life for the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
The battery of the iPhone 12 Pro Max will start to drain faster if you connect it to 5G networks. Apple still hasn’t created a system on a chip for 5G, so they had to incorporate a second chip into the iPhone 12 line to give them the ability to connect to 5G. Unfortunately, this secondary chip takes up a lot of power, meaning the battery will likely drain faster when your iPhone is connected to 5G instead of 4G.
